I’m excited to share that tomorrow I’ll be starting an MA in Publishing and Writing at Emerson College. This program and school are a dream come true. I’ll be taking classes like Book Publishing Overview, Magazine Layout, the Writer/Editor Relationship. If you’re reading this site you probably love books as much as I do, so I want to share the possibility of pursuing a career founded in books. When I was choosing a major back in undergrad it was challenging for me to think of a career that centered on what I thought I was best at: reading. I thought that to be close to literature I would end up, at best, as an English teacher even though teaching is not my cup of tea. It’s okay to love literature, and I’ve learned that it’s even okay to choose a major that’s all about literature. There’s a job for anything you can imagine, so don’t hold back! Pursue your dreams, because a storybook ending is possible.
PS-Am I the only one excited for Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters?
